On the 11th May, twelve children from Year 1 and 2 had fantastic fun competing in the DCCT gymnastics competition, which was hosted at Derby High. The children have been working extremely hard towards this competition all term and were so excited to display their skills to the judges. All of them should be very proud of how well they performed. They were amazing and a true credit to the School.

After competing in Body Management, Floor Exercise and Vault, against five other schools (14 other teams), the scores were announced. In the team awards, Derby High Team 2 were awarded 6th place, Derby High Team 3 were awarded 5th place and Derby High Team 1 were awarded an outstanding 1st place. In the Individual awards – Derby High came 1^st, with Julia (Year 2) scoring the highest overall mark out of 60 children!

It was an action-packed morning with all the children enjoying the experience.
