This week has been a wonderful celebration of our Derby High community, filled with music, enthusiasm, and a real sense of togetherness.

Last night’s Teatime Concert was a fantastic opportunity for our young musicians to take to the stage, with some performing in front of an audience for the very first time. These opportunities are about more than just the music, they are about confidence, courage, and the joy of sharing something with others.

That same spirit of teamwork and shared experience has been shining through in House Choir rehearsals this week. Our houses play such an important role in school life, creating a strong sense of belonging and encouraging pupils to support one another. It has been brilliant to see the enthusiasm and excitement building as we look forward to House Music next Friday, a highlight of the year, where our pupils come together in a wonderful celebration of creativity, performance and school spirit.

Today, we were also delighted to welcome so many parents into school for our Primary Showcase. Seeing the children’s pride as they shared their learning with you was a joy. Thank you for taking the time to join us, it is these shared experiences that make our school community so special.
