Primary High Notes 17th November 2023
In my Primary assembly yesterday, I had the pleasure of discussing the power of thinking outside the box when confronted with challenges. Together, we explored the concept through an inspiring video featuring a footballer who ingeniously transformed a traditional throw-in by incorporating a somersault, resulting in increased throwing distance and more goals for his team. This captivating example illustrated the remarkable outcomes that can be achieved when one embraces unconventional thinking and dares to break free from the confines of routine. I have extended a challenge to our pupils to not only persist with familiar approaches but to venture into uncharted territory, encouraging them to think without limits.
Children in Need is always such a special event in school. This year our Primary pupils have been raising money by dressing up as someone who inspires them. It has been wonderful to see who the children have chosen and their thinking behind it, showcasing a beautiful tapestry of role models that ranged from historical figures to contemporary heroes and others much closer to home!
