Derby High School Celebrates Outstanding A Level Success and Inspirational Next Steps
Derby High School is today celebrating the exceptional achievements of its Year 13 students as they receive their A Level results and prepare to take their next steps into the wider world. This year’s outcomes are a testament to the hard work, determination and ambition of a truly outstanding year group.
Our students have excelled, with almost half of all grades were awarded at A*–A, with an impressive 25% of all grades at A*. 68% of all grades were awarded at A*- B. One third of our students achieved all A* and A grades and 6 students achieved at least 3 A* grades each.
82% students were delighted to receive offers for their first choice university and are heading to a wide range of exciting destinations, from top universities across the UK to prestigious degree apprenticeship programmes. Whether aspiring to careers in medicine, engineering, the arts, business or sciences, what unites them is the thoughtful, informed way they have chosen their next steps, and the commitment they have shown in working towards their goals.

With many students securing places at their first-choice destinations, Derby High continues its strong track record of supporting students to achieve both excellent academic outcomes and personalised, meaningful progression routes.
The school’s dedicated Sixth Form team has worked closely with each student, providing tailored guidance through the UCAS process, expert careers advice, and preparation for both university and the workplace.
