Derby High School is delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our Year 11 students in the 2024 GCSE examinations. This year’s results are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence that our students have consistently demonstrated. With 64% of all grades awarded at grade 7-9, and 20% of all entries achieving the prestigious grade 9, our students have demonstrated their exceptional dedication and academic capability.

Derby High students’ success extends beyond academics. At Derby High School, they have developed critical thinking, resilience, compassion, collaboration, and adaptability – qualities that, alongside their academic achievements, prepare them well for the next stage of their educational journey.

Head, Amy Chapman, expressed her pride in the students, stating, “These GCSE results are an excellent stepping stone on the path to further academic success. For many of our students, this will lead to a place in the Sixth Form at Derby High, where they will continue their studies at A Level.
