What a wonderful start to the new academic year! It has been an absolute joy to welcome all our pupils back to school, especially those who are beginning their Derby High journey with us. The school is once again filled with laughter, excitement, and the eagerness to learn, and I could not be more thrilled to see everyone settling in so well.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our first parent breakfast of the year, and it was fantastic to see so many of you there. It was a lovely opportunity for parents to meet, chat, and get to know some of the new families joining our school community. There was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, which truly reflects the spirit of Derby High. I hope everyone enjoyed the chance to connect and share in the excitement of the new school year.

As we embark on this new academic adventure together, I am filled with optimism and enthusiasm for all that lies ahead. The year will be filled with new experiences, learning opportunities, and memories waiting to be made.
