Vision & Values
Derby High School prides itself on its friendliness, and visitors to the school invariably comment on the calm and happy atmosphere in the school and the excellent relationships between the children and the staff.
One of the great strengths of the school is its broad social and cultural intake.
The school has a Christian foundation in the Anglican tradition, but our school community includes those of all faiths and none and while our values maintain our Christian tradition, we seek to learn from and celebrate the diversity of cultures and beliefs within the school.

Primary Open Week 5th - 9th October 2026
The best way to learn about our vibrant Primary school is to come for a tour. We would be delighted to show you around.
During our Primary Open week, you will meet our Head, Mrs. Amy Chapman, and Head of Primary, Mr. Jeremy Harper. Mr. Harper will give you a guided tour of our Infant and Junior classrooms, along with the onsite sport facilities, the Refectory and outdoor space. This provides a fantastic opportunity for families to see the school during a normal day and meet teaching staff and pupils.

We are excited to welcome back DCCT to Derby High School during the October half term break.
Their multi sports holiday coaching is for Year 1 to Year 6 children. Sports activities include Dodgeball, Cricket/Rounders, Tennis, Badminton, Tri Golf, Football, Bocca, Athletics and Target Throwing.
